Ortiz Ranch Cut-Your-Own Firewood (Juniper)

 

We’ve got acres and acres of juniper, which burns clean and well when dried. Our offer is simple: Cut-your-own firewood is available for $25/pickup load, or we can easily make arrangements for larger loads at cheaper-per-unit prices. Bring your own saw and supplies, and stack your scraps in a pile. Call us first and we’ll arrange to meet you and set you up in an area to begin cutting. We will not be responsible for accidents, and we’ll have you sign a release to that effect before you begin cutting. We suggest that you cut wood at least a couple of months before you intend to use it as firewood to allow it to dry first. No smoking while outside on the ranch, please. (EXTREME fire danger these days!)
