Classic Oven Fried Chicken
Here’s a simple one, versatile, very tasty, handy for when you want that “fried chicken” flavor but just don’t have the time.
Preheat oven to 400°. Place a large casserole or roasting pan in the oven to melt the butter while you crush the coating. (A simple way to crush the coating mixture is to place the ingredients in a gallon-sized zip-lock bag, and use a rolling pin or a Mason jar to roll over the closed bag of ingredients till they are nicely crushed.) Pour the crushed mixture into a bowl. As soon as the butter is melted, roll each piece of chicken in butter, roll the coated chicken in the crushed mix, and return to the pan. Continue till all pieces are coated, and bake till browned and cooked through (40-55 minutes). Remove from pan and serve.
